02/23/2024, 11:58 PMi take that back, it's a mix in here which is super confusing: https://github.com/acryldata/datahub-helm/blame/master/charts/datahub/values.yaml

02/24/2024, 12:02 AMand the acryldata repos have v0.12.1.1 but some dont have v0.12.1, and the last release on github is v0.12.1. its pretty confusing trying to understand where we should pull images from and what version we're supposed to use since there a mix of repos used in the helm charts and the repos dont have consistent versions between them and the github releases.

02/24/2024, 12:02 AMand the site says the latest version is 0.12.0

02/24/2024, 12:04 AMand this acryldata repo doesnt have a v0.12.1.1, so i cant use a consistent version across all my images.

02/24/2024, 12:38 AMand now GMS wont start because
Copy code
System version is not up to date: v0.12.1.1-0
Latest system update version: v0.12.1-0witty-motorcycle-52108
02/24/2024, 12:39 AMi opened a bug on github about this because we lose hours to these versioning mix and match issues every time we try to upgrade and now that there's a check to the sub-patch version level it's impossible to get things to line up

seems like this is where things are actually being published, so going to asume it's the best source of truth out there for now

02/27/2024, 8:07 AMPlease provide a link to github issue, I would like to upvote it, we've had similar problems with "consolidating" the docker images.
It would be nice if it's at least documented somewhere

02/29/2024, 7:22 PMWe do have plans to consolidate these into consistently using the Acryl repos instead of using the legacy LinkedIn ones, but it's not currently an immediate priority. For now the recommendation is to not customize your images from what the latest helm charts/docker-compose files have. Some images are under LinkedIn because they have been around longer and just haven't moved over yet.
