Hi all, I am trying to build datahub-frontend with Java 17, but getting this error while running it:

Exception in thread "main" com.google.common.util.concurrent.UncheckedExecutionException: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unsupported class file major version 61

I realized that the scala compiled code have the java version 52, and made changes to the gradle config to compile the scala code against java 17, but that also didn’t help.

i think you should try Java 11... i found this little trick recently to switch java envs that i put in my ~/.zshrc . #usually want Java 11 so making that the default export JAVA_HOME=$(/usr/libexec/java_home -v 11)

Incompatible because this component declares a component, compatible with Java 17 and the consumer needed a component, compatible with Java 11
