Trying to install via k8s using the walk-though in the github project. Right now I'm stuck installing the prerequisites. Is there a walk-through for enabling...
cp-helm-charts:
  enabled: false
  # Schema registry is under the community license
  cp-schema-registry:
    enabled: false
    kafka:
      bootstrapServers: "prerequisites-kafka:9092" # <<release-name>>-kafka:9092
  cp-kafka:
    enabled: false
  cp-zookeeper:
    enabled: false
  cp-kafka-rest:
    enabled: false
  cp-kafka-connect:
    enabled: false
  cp-ksql-server:
    enabled: false
  cp-control-center:
    enabled: false
I tried installing the confluent/k8s operator, but it did not help.
do I just stand up a confluent instance or kafka/registry/etc... and then enable this and point it to the instance that was stood up?

You shouldn’t need to enable the cp-helm-charts unless you specifically want them. Schema registry is not required and kafka is enabled separately here. You’re following this guide?: https://datahubproject.io/docs/deploy/kubernetes

@orange-night-91387, thanks so much for replying! The default helm chart installs perfectly! I was able to stand it up without a hitch.... but unfortunately can't use the default bitnami images. I joined a project recently that would like to migrate their datahub install from docker compose to kubernetes. i could easily use the kompose tool to migrate their env to k8s, but would rather start off with the official datahub helm. Their current install includes the confluent kafka images(kafka/zookeeper/registry/etc).

Got it, I believe all you should need to do is enable the components you need from each of the cp helm charts. You shouldn't need to stand up a Confluent deployment separately although you can use one if you have it and you shouldn't need to use the prerequisites side. You'll just need to configure the datahub components to point to them. Is just enabling them not working for you? If not can you provide what errors you are seeing in the components not starting up cleanly?

@important-horse-37697 we are also thinking about migrating from Docker (Quickstart) to Kubernetes. Have you been successful?
