Looking at the logs, it seems like requests is complaining about a bad version of urllib
Copy code
/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/requests/__init__.py:89: RequestsDependencyWarning: urllib3 (2.0.7) or chardet (3.0.4) doesn't match a supported version!
g
Hi @gray-shoe-75895, thanks for help. I will try to update the urllib3&chardet version, maybe can resolve, will sync the result later
after update the modles, same output here🥲 can you help me for this please? i have not any ideas...

@glamorous-spoon-27211 This seems like an issue with your current setup or environment - if you can get the
requests
package to be able to make http requests successfully, then I can help debug any datahub-specific issues
g
Hi @gray-shoe-75895, I have created a Python script to test the requests package. From the screenshot, it can be seen that the HTTP request was successful and returned interface data. But 'datahub docker quickstart' doesn't work. I don't have much idea about this issue, and I hope to get your help please.
Hi @gray-shoe-75895,can you help me with this?
g
I see - looking at the error logs more closely, it's actually failing on this line
Copy code
with get_docker_client() as client:
specifically, when trying to run
client.ping()
That means it's somehow failing to talk to the docker socket To repro, can you check if this code works? Also, the output of
docker info
would be helpful?
Copy code
import docker
client = docker.from_env()
client.ping()
g
Hi @gray-shoe-75895, How should I check this section? For example, am I trying to write a Python script and execute the following code?
Copy code
import docker
client = docker.from_env()
client.ping()
r
Yup - the purpose of it is to make sure we're isolated the problem correctly
g
Okay, I'll put it in the script now for testing
check the docker status as below:
@gray-shoe-75895 After testing, it seems that the docker part is normal
r
Interesting - when you're running the datahub cli, are you setting any additional config / environment variables? That python code is pretty much the same as what our quickstart code does, so I'm not sure where the difference might come from
Also, what was the contents of
docker info
?
g
docker info
I tried again and encountered an SSL issue. What should I do to solve it

Hi @gray-shoe-75895, Due to network reasons, I have been unable to successfully proceed with the next step of pulling the image, but I have attempted to download the "docker composite without neo4j. quickstart. yml" file. I would like to ask Can I manually pull the image inside 2. Can the manually pulled image be started using the quick start method? If this plan is feasible, then I will try it out
r
Yes - you can use
datahub docker quickstart --no-pull-images -f path/to/docker-compose-file.yml
This assumes that the required images and docker compose file are available locally
