hi all, I have a question about datahub histories, which I mean is the
search history
under the search bar. I wonder if this history is shared between all users and if it could be configured to display more history searches, and is there a window that could show all history searches for a login user. great thanks.

@bitter-author-2524 might be able to speak to this!

thanks for your reply.
@delightful-ram-75848 will there be any reply. great thanks.

Hi @enough-eve-67949 I believe the intention is that the "Recent Searches" are per-user. One option is you could create a global view, but you would need to have the
canManageGlobalViews
permission in datahub to do that.

@bitter-author-2524 thanks for your reply. under my test, it seems that the administrator could see all histories of all users. besides, is there any method to let user browser more of their search histories which is not shown in
recent searches
, our user said they want to find more previous searches but it seems datahub do not keep that.

Not to my knowledge, I believe recent searches are per-user. And I can totally understand wanting to have a top list of possible searches. I think global views is probably the closest thing Datahub has to this functionality. Sorry I don't have a better suggestion for you today.

@enough-eve-67949 Either you could adjust the source code(RecentlySearchedSource.java) to give a little bit more places for search histories. 😄
private static final String DATAHUB_USAGE_INDEX = "datahub_usage_event";
private static final String ENTITY_AGG_NAME = "entity";
_*`private static final int MAX_CONTENT = 5; //increase this number to keep more records`*_
@Override
public String getTitle() {
return "Recent searches";
}
