We’re currently struggling with the update to 0.9.5 we’ve ran into a known issue with the helm chart. But hopefully if we resolve that we can have a chat next week on the data studio integration.

In the meantime are there any guidelines, best practices you can share with me for developing a new connector?

Here at Ovo Energy we are doing a POC of datahub, and the Data Studio connector is very much missed. +1 for this feature.

This is a pretty crucial missing piece for us at Entur as well. The issue as far as I can see, is that LookerStudio's API is very thin. However, with the introduction of LookerStudioPro which we are about to try out, I believe there is hope for more from Google here. In their announcement of Pro, they also showcased support for lineage between BigQuery and LookerStudio, which is a sorely missed feature in our current stack. If they can support it internally, there's a higher chance of the data becoming available through API at least. We've highlighted the need for a richer API to our Google sales rep. If more of us do give feedback on this, then chances increase it'll be prioritized!
