tasks are just node code if you want to execute node code in cypress context, then you write a task most plugins, maybe all, use tasks that's when it's ok to use async await, because you're writing node otherwise, within the cypress api, no async await it's a design decision people start liking it after a while, specially if they've dabbled in FP or RxJS before
