my 2 cents: I would make them unique to avoid situations where you have to write tests that cover 2 components with the same testid but on a different screen. It makes your test less readable and maintainable (I can already imagine someone changing the testid and find/replace them breaking the other tests) You could prefix them with the view id or something.
