What's your take on creating presentations for virtual sales meetings? 1. Do they distract or engage prospects? 2. Is there a way to find balance between textual and visual content in the presentation?

You bring up a nice point! In my opinion, presentations in virtual meeting can be useful in 2 main scenarios: 1-To support what you're saying through visuals 2-If they're short and to the point

Garima, check this out (and related research from Dr. Carmen Simon). https://win.corporatevisions.com/rs/413-YED-439/images/IBB-Persuasive-Presentations-Report.pdf Dr. Simon is a cognitive neuroscientist who studies how prospects react (subconsciously) to virtual sales presentations. And what she's found is that it's a fine line between distracting or engaging people with your presentations. Lots of useful tactics and research in this e-book. Disclaimer that this is content my company produced, but hopefully it's helpful nonetheless.

@bland-truck-75397 Presentations can be a value add to center the conversation on key focus areas and offer a filter to keep the convo from going off the rails. Keep the decks short and visual, with only key points or high-impact statements, and move all the commentary into the notes of the slide. Record the meeting, so you can share the PPT and ensuing conversation for future reference. For our sales pitches, we'll typically have a full-slide image of our work or client (no bullets), and the sales rep will verbally tell the story. The visual slide helps guide the conversation, but because its just 1 slide without any (or much) copy, the prospects are listening to the rep's story and asking questions.
