Question: what is your newsletter conversion rate from people visiting your blog part of the website (so excluding people signing up for webinars, book a demo, free account/free trial etc... but purely someone reading a blog post and then signing up for your newsletter from a CTA on that page)? Just trying to get some benchmarking for a revamp project we're starting. For us right now, depends on the market (since we have 5 different newsletters) but fluctuates between 0,15% to 0,22%. We don't use pop ups or anything other than a sign up bar at the very bottom of the blog post.

Try popups, we started capturing leads at the rate of 2-4% vs almost zilch with an inline form. Also helps if the lead magnet is relevant to the page. Some smashing popups can reach 10-15%, but that’s unrealistic for mere mortals. This article has some realistic conversion rate data: https://getsitecontrol.com/blog/email-popup-signup-rates-test/ (we use Getsitecontrol for the popups and they’re very nice)
