On average, how long do you think

this journey

lasts—particularly in B2B SaaS?

In my experience, both as a buyer and marketing to buyers (mostly enterprise vs SMB), it usually happens within a quarter. Sometimes it'll take a half year.

Totally depends on ACV and industry. Anywhere from 30 to 365 days 😂

That's fair.

I remember I used that graphic in an eBook one time. Stakeholder #1 comes in and says, "Are we really using this? It looks like a mess." Stakeholder #2 arrives a few hours later and says, "That's the point!"
But on the actual question, I think it's a "how long is a piece of string?" question. Back in 2014, Implicit (now Salesforce) analyzed deals. They said social leads take 40 days to convert, website leads take 75, and referrals take 97. In 2020, HubSpot said 75% of B2B companies take an average of four months to close deals. From all the sales folks I've spoken to, the general consensus is deal cycles are getting longer.

From our own HubSpot attribution data (we're B2B content studio, serving early and growth-stage SaaS), 54+ days and an average of 6-9 content pieces consumed.
