For any other content writers—how many hours on average (I'm a writer too, so I know it varies wildly) would you say it takes you to write a 1,500-2,000 word blog post? Assume you are researching it yourself and writing but may have some SEO guidance. Just saw a (part-time!) job description asking for five articles a week and thought that seemed like a LOT, especially if you're only dedicating part of your week to that. But maybe other people are easily cranking that out?

Hi everybody. I have some long stretches of time to myself coming up, and I’d like to do some personal writing, just for fun and as a way to simply practice my own craft. Does anyone have writing prompts to recommend? I honestly don’t know what kind of writing I even want to do; maybe personal essay style or similar. Not fiction (I don’t think). Looking for a few good prompts to just START, since starting seems like the hardest part. Thanks!

It's interesting that you should post about this, @millions-chef-90189, because I'm also starting to put more time into personal writing. It's something I've always wanted to do, but I kept hesitating because it's not easy to monetize and doesn't fit with "my audience." I bit the bullet over the summer and launched a personal essay publication on Substack. No posting schedule, no pressure on myself. Just me writing when I have something I want to write about. Hey all. I’m trying to help someone figure out what type of role they need on their agency team. They need someone who can help with social content, blog content, landing page content, strategy, paid ads, analytics, and more. I told them that finding all those skills in one person is unlikely, but they could probably cover a lot of bases if they could find someone with content skills and a curiosity for the paid and analytics side. So the main questions I have are… 1. What is the right title for someone who is more junior and can write for social, landing pages, blogs, etc? Would that be a content strategist? 2. What is the right title for a more senior role that can do a lot of that content strategy, content production, as well as the paid efforts? Bonus points if you have any sense of good compensation ranges for each as well.

Advice needed: I've been working as a content marketer for almost a decade now—mostly in B2B SaaS—and I have loved it every step of the way (except, of course, when I have to inject SEO-friendliness into a content piece). But lately, I feel like I'm stagnated at work. It feels like I'm regurgitating the same thing again and again and that I'm not really innovating enough. Does anyone else feel the same way?
