hey
@firetruck , sorry for the disruption. We saw a sharp increase in Google Maps usage and since Google charges per request, our costs spiked. To keep the service sustainable and available for everyone, we temporarily restricted access for a few high-usage accounts.
We’ve now added rate limits and are sending out comms with more details to all the users shortly. We’d be happy to jump on a call, understand your use case, and discuss how we can get you unblocked on using Composio's managed auth.
Comms for ref:
> Hi there,
> You're receiving this because your organization has used Google Maps through Composio Managed Auth in the past 30 days.
> Composio currently covers the Google Maps provider costs for usage through Composio Managed Auth. As usage grows, we've added daily limits to keep the service sustainable and available for everyone.
> What this means
> - Composio Platform: For production workflows, we recommend creating a custom Google Maps Auth Config using credentials from your own Google Cloud project. This gives you dedicated usage limits and billing visibility and avoids Composio's shared limits. Follow our [setup guide](
https://docs.composio.dev/docs/auth-configuration/custom-auth-configs)
> - Composio for You: No action is needed. We've added these limits as a first step while we work on a better long-term solution for Google Maps. Until then, you may occasionally see temporary interruptions during periods of high shared usage.
