Which agent powers tool router in the playground?

Hi everybody, i was wondering what kind of agent is used in the composio website playground chat. i know it uses the tool router, but what kind of tool-executing agent is used on top of it? I see the documentation shows an example with a simple openai agent. i tried replicating it (creating an openai agent with the meta tools from the tool router), but the performance out of the box is much worse than what i see in the playground: most of the times it has issues when calling COMPOSIO_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL because it can't determine the correct arguments for the tools it wants to execute. So i was asking myself what kind of agent i need to use on top of the tool router to achieve a quality similar to what i see in the playground. Does the playground use a proprietary agent? If yes, is it available to use in my code, maybe with paid plans? If it's not available, are there guidelines on what kind of agent i should use? Thanks a lot in advance

Hey @Blocknaut, "creating an openai agent with the meta tools from the tool router" — Could you elaborate this?

hey @Uday, i did something like the example shown here in the docs: https://docs.composio.dev/tool-router/using-as-a-native-tool. so in practice i have a simple openai agent to which i provided the tool router meta tools (e.g. COMPOSIO_SEARCH_TOOLS, COMPOSIO_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL and so on), like in this snippet: from agents import Agent session = composio.create(user_id=user_id) tools = session.tools() agent = Agent( name="Personal Assistant", instructions="You are a helpful personal assistant. Use Composio tools to take action.", model="gpt-5.2", tools=tools, )

Hey @Blocknaut, It should work with your current setup and model used. FYI: We use Vercel with GPT-4o-mini.
