Who in here has experience in running large-scale events for community members?

What’s “large-scale?”

Depends on how you define large scale and in which format, but potentially!

this was actually an area @Sarah Greisdorf was interested in connecting with other members about, so probs best to let Sarah define it in this context 🙂 However, I guess it means like 1,000 people or more?

I’ve run virtual events for 200-500 people and am supporting the community and coordination for an in person event from 2,500-3,000

I have some experience, but in a supportive role. What's the problem space

I've done this at sales hacker and metadata. We did webinars with 2-3K attendees and then do a yearly conference with 3-5k attendees

I work at Squarespace and am project managing our conference for professional users taking place next August. Last year we had ~120 folks in person and ~1600 online. Would just love to connect with folks who have done similar work to identify gaps in my knowledge and see how we could continue to improve our experience
