Who in here has experience in running large-scale events for community members?
j
What’s “large-scale?”

Depends on how you define large scale and in which format, but potentially!

this was actually an area @Sarah Greisdorf was interested in connecting with other members about, so probs best to let Sarah define it in this context 🙂 However, I guess it means like 1,000 people or more?
I've done quite a few of these for Startup Grind, so am happy to talk about them, but interested to see if we might be able to get a little peer group together to discuss

I’ve run virtual events for 200-500 people and am supporting the community and coordination for an in person event from 2,500-3,000

I've done this at sales hacker and metadata. We did webinars with 2-3K attendees and then do a yearly conference with 3-5k attendees

Thanks @Alex Gordon-Furse (Community Hacked)! @Joel Primack @Alyson Stemas @Billy Lim @Katie Ray @Sharon Huey appreciate y’alls willingness to help! I work at Squarespace and am project managing our conference for professional users taking place next August. Last year we had ~120 folks in person and ~1600 online. Would just love to connect with folks who have done similar work to identify gaps in my knowledge and see how we could continue to improve our experience

I'd be happy to organise a 30-45 minute peer group for to efficiently answer some of your initial challenge areas later this week/early next if others are interested?
