After a few weeks of radio silence on the job hunt front, I was finally updated that I'd move forward with one company. Even if it's just one teeny tiny bit forward, it's something and it really helped my mood. Thanks for allowing this place to hold space.

Appreciation Post: Thank you so much to @Anna Santiago, @Richard Hoffmann and @Danny Wurst who are being extremely helpful in supporting with Community Hacked right now. There are some cool developments coming for the community slowly but surely, like a v1 Member Hub with summaries, transcripts and recordings of past events and pods, plus, the CH socials are starting to actually having a cadence and direction 🀣. These are all v1s, but hopefully they'll be helpful/useful as a starting point. All being made possible with the support of these 3 awesome peeps πŸ™ 🀩

This post is dedicated to anyone who can relate to that "small but mighty" feeling. πŸ’ͺ πŸ’• I am SO πŸ‘ BEYOND πŸ‘ PROUD of our small-but-mighty team at Topknot for the deep, strategic soul-searching effort (aka market research) that has led to refined clarity and strengthened messaging now showcased throughout our new and improved website! There's literally nothing to lose... and potentially ✨ everything ✨ to gain! Sign up (totally FREE) for a 1-hour Topknot Time session that combines the best of life coaching and technology to curate a safe and structured space to help you process YOUR thoughts on a topic of YOUR choosing in the company of a relatable outsider on their own growth journey. X No judgment. X No advice. X No bots. βœ“ Be listened to. βœ“ Unlock clarity. βœ“ Move forward. Questions? Doubts? Fears? I'm here for all of it. Please reach out anytime to discuss! My win of the day is (finally!) securing a mandate at Voyagers (voyagers.io), a global community of 2500+ impact entrepreneurs in climatetech and healthtech. I’ll be helping to find sponsors/partners to further support the mission, without compromising the high-trust, tight-knit nature of this organically built group. Excited! πŸš€

My win for this week is that Community Pros of London reached the heady heights of 100 members overnight! πŸŽ‰ We aren’t building it for numbers but it is still nice (and a reason to celebrate?) when you hit a milestone figure like that. For any London based members here who might be interested in meeting up with your fellow community professionals do consider joining, we would love to see you there! We focus on IRL get togethers as we recognise there are brilliant online spaces for professionals to connect and support each other (like of course, here at Community Hacked). Next meet up is 7th June in Borough. Full deets πŸ‘‰ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/community-pros-evening-meet-up-tickets-616408352977

We ran our second event in the London Chapter yesterday and it was a huge success, 65% show rate, 70 engaged attendees and 3 sponsors who made the event profitable for us and are keen to continue working with us Some key learnings: β€’ We put a lot of effort in facilitating relevant connections at the event, rather than just putting people in a room. β—¦ We printed name badges that included a) the person’s biggest challenge they need help with & b) what they can help others with. β—¦ We also created conversation corners for people to talk about specific topics like fundraising. I always hated networking events & I was a bit scared we would struggle to differentiate from the ordinary networking event, so relived that this wasn’t the case. β—¦ Our sponsors were able to share their expertise in the conversation corners & found this was great to engage with potential customers in a non-salesy way β€’ Curation matters! While we didn’t actively select attendees, we were very targeted with our promotion (through cold email & networks) + had very clear messaging meaning that we had exactly the right audience in the room and no transactional selling happening, which helped create a true community atmosphere
