this was back in college. i was the head of the control systems team for the college robotics team, and i built the UIs for the first two years. then we had a UX person join the team, and she promptly confiscated the UIs from me "everything that you make looks like an airline cockpit, you are not allowed to touch CSS or HTML" 😆
