• Notes now marked ingested only after commit+sync succeeds — no more silent bookmarking of unsynced notes
• Script exits non-zero on sync failure so launchd surfaces it instead of logging "success"
• Slug suffix lowercased at write time so no new case-collisions get created
• Typechecks clean (bun build OK)
Case-collision cleanup: renamed 146 mixed-case meeting files to canonical lowercase in git, committed, re-synced (R146, zero content changes), re-embedded + extracted. Index has no duplicate pages, July 28 still queryable, git and disk fully consistent (the 158-vs-157 was just .gitkeep — false alarm).
I left the launchd job itself untouched. Next scheduled run will exercise the new fail-loud path. Want me to force one run now to confirm it behaves, or let the 15-min cycle pick it up?brain

08/03/2026, 6:28 PM2026-07-28-all-team-sync and even Aug meetings), but the ingest job is stuck in a crash loop that leaves them "unbookmarked."
Here's what's happening: the ingest writes files, then runs git add -A && git commit && gbrain sync. But the commit fails with "nothing to commit, working tree clean" — meaning something else (the Slack archiver / dream cycle running every ~15–30 min) already committed those files first. So wrote > 0 in the script, but git has nothing new → non-zero exit → the whole thing throws → the notes never get bookmarked → next run tries the same 5 notes again → infinite retry.
So the meetings exist in the repo, but the ingest state never advances, and every run errors out. Let me confirm which are the stuck 5 and whether they're actually searchable.brain
08/03/2026, 6:28 PMa5c16a3), but it is NOT in the gbrain search index — the query for "July 28 all team sync" returns July 21, July 1, July 7, etc., but never July 28. That's exactly why I "don't see a Granola for it": the file is on disk but the gbrain sync never succeeded, so it never got indexed.
The chain is: ingest writes files → another job commits them first → ingest's git commit fails with "nothing to commit" → non-zero exit throws → gbrain sync never runs AND the state never advances. So new meetings land on disk but stay invisible to search, forever retrying.
Let me answer Oliver in-channel, then this needs a real fix (make the ingest tolerate an empty commit and still run gbrain sync + bookmark). But per house rules I won't touch the ingest script unless Royce asks.brain

08/03/2026, 6:42 PMgit commit exits non-zero and throws before the notes get bookmarked — meaning today's two Granolas never get properly indexed and the same batch keeps failing every run. The fix is making the ingest tolerate an empty/already-committed state and still run gbrain sync + bookmark, but I won't touch that script unless Royce green-lights it.oliver

• I could not independently confirm Rob's Aug 20–21 OOO in the archive — it's carried forward from your "known so far" note. Nothing contradicts it, but worth a glance.
• No other OOO/PTO/travel entries fall in Aug 17–21 in the archive.
Since posting to a channel is an external action, I've drafted it above rather than sending — want me to post it to #whereabouts as-is, or tweak it first?
