not entirely sure if this is a bug? but also I'm not sure where else to put this if it isn't a bug. this is re: my display name on chill subs. I'm not going to reveal my authorial name to the general discord server because I just don't feel quite comfortable, so I will make up a name for this example. I use my middle name in my authorial name... for example, John Keith Doe. (if there's any actual john keith does out there writing, I am not affiliated with them.) I have my authorial name as John Keith Doe on chill subs. when you search "John Doe" in the writers tab, I pop up under the name John Doe. when you click my profile, it then says John Keith Doe. related, when you type John Keith into the search bar (w/o even pressing enter), no writers pop up. (my actual authorial name is esoteric & thus there's nobody else with my first + middle name out there.) this is also the case when you input John Keith Doe into the search bar. so, if someone were typing my actual authorial name as is into the search bar, they wouldn't be able to find me even though my authorial name is what is set as my name on my chill subs profile. I solely publish as John Keith Doe as opposed to John Doe. under the "read" tab of publication pages I have my work linked under, I also just appear as John Doe rather than John Keith Doe. when I made my chill subs account, I put John Keith Doe as my name, not anything else. I did log in one day to find it set as John Doe instead, which I manually reverted. if I had to guess, I think it'd be related to the fact that the authorial gmail account my chill subs profile is linked to has the official name as John Doe in the system, as you can't insert middle names when you create a gmail account. (though, I did edit my display name to appear as "John 'Keith' Doe" using the nickname feature & then edit my gmail correspondence name to appear as the accurate "John Keith Doe" which I publish under & sign my emails with.)
