&lt;cfdump var="#isValidEmail#"&gt;      See the flaw? your code is asking if I have 2 values, but What are they, that is what ColdFusion is complaining about.  so the above, in simplest terms, is saying HEY COLDFUSION, here is the email value, is it an email address, and ColdFusion says, Yes its email address.

he was just asking about using argumentCollection instead of explicit arguments. but, that is apparently not an option with isValid.

CFSCRIPT is awesome, the best thing ever, keep writing confusing code that takes away from the whole point of COLDFUSION, nope, use something that is javascript but isn't javascript, but all but rips off javascript causing programmers to constantly blend the two making errors. Yup, write unmaintainable code as you know, that's what the general flawed consensus currently is.
