For various reasons, I would just like to take a moment to encourage everyone, if you haven't already, to find some way to contribute to society. If you get paid for it, it doesn't count. Most non-profit organizations need volunteers in many different capacities and there are even websites that make it easy to volunteer. For example, does your local fire company or EMS need help? You could help with fundraisers, finances, recruitment and retention, their web presence, and other things. 🙂

Do you count £££ donations in that Brian? I've been making sure to keep donating more than usual to our local foodbank @ the moment as ppl are struggling. I hate interacting with humans though, so can never bring myself to donate time to anything.

I think it's appropriate thread to post, we all know what's going - these are guys and gals I myself donating (albeit less than I wanted to) and trying to share information to encourage others: https://www.hospitallers.life/about-us

I donate to animals, seriously humans can fend for themselves even in the worst of places. Domestic animals on the other hand usually are the first to suffer during economic downturns. So yes, my noodle cart profits go to support local animal charities.

donating money is great, obviously, and Brian's got a good point, a lot of charities need volunteers as much as if not more than financial donations, that's going to depend on the charity. If you look around there's plenty of opportunities to help... like running a website for charity, save them getting ripped off and promote CFML at the same time. You'd barely have to talk to anyone too

Although you do have to be careful. I started out volunteering to help out with IT/website stuff and I'm now the Treasurer too. lol
