Seems a bit remiss that in 2023 one needs to even ask for this. Isn't it a table stakes sort of thing, these days?

There was a pre-release programme for this thing yeah, @Mark Takata (Adobe)? Did no-one raise this then?

Well goodness Adam, I guess we are just idiots huh? How could we POSSIBLY have missed that.

Also the pre-release was for testing, and no, actually I don't think I was an FR for Docker support. Now, I may have just missed it (in which case, cool, here's another ask, which is likely to push it up the stack a bit).

I dunno about idiots: you'd have a better idea about that than me. But representative that the ppl defining the MVP for the product did not include CFML devs?
Maybe I'm wrong, but does this not seem like table stakes for this sort of thing?
Or is it "yeah, kinda is, but we can ship an MVP without this, as really most CFMLers still dev with CF installed locally etc".
Ha: wouldn't surprise me if most CFMLers (the ones from the invisible part of the CFML "community" we never see) still dev on a shared dev server. Or... on prod.

Most ColdFusion customers do not use Docker. Yes, some do. Yes, it is considered one of the modern patterns. Yes I'd like to see more people use it. And since you seem to like the term, no it isn't "table stakes" to include it in CFB. It is an enhancement I'd like to see added to support more modern usage of ColdFusion whilst using CF Builder in VS Code.
