Greetings, We just did a fresh install of CF2021 in a newly spun up AWS EC2 instance. However when we try to edit an ORACLE specific Datasource we get the following exception Element urlmap.servicename is undefined in STDSN as shown below. In googling the issue I found one reference to this issue, however that was for a CF upgrade from 2018 to 2021, while ours is an entirely new install. So far the only workaround has been to delete and recreate the DSN. Anyhow any suggestions on how to solve this issue would be very appreciated. thx.

@larryclyons How did you create the datasource?
Also, you've blanked out the fields so it's hard to see, but is that a

that I see in the service name form field?
Do you have any special chars in any of your information such as quotes?
l
Pretty generic Brad - I used the CFAdmin datasource panel.
no special characters ( OK we did use a couple of dashes as in ABC-Whatever-ORA).
And yes I saw the same in the service field a <!--

When you viewed the page source, did you find the issue?

Not yet. This has happened to others as I mentioned earlier I found this entry in adobe community forums but it was in reference to what happened after an upgrade from 2018 to 2021 https://community.adobe.com/t5/coldfusion-discussions/element-urlmap-servicename-is-undefined-in-stdsn/td-p/11880623

So does anyone have any thoughts on this? @bdw429s I see you were asking about this....from what I can tell our coworker did a clean 2021 install on 2 different EC2 instances, and both times when he logged in the cfadmin, he added a datasource, but then wanted to edit that dsn, this error showed up....so he now cannot edit the dsn...we are looking to find a solutions...he keeps calling this an Adobe bug, but if it was then everyone would be having this issue on EC2 installs....HOPE someone has seen this and has a solution....THANKS

I only chimed into a previous discussion to make sure CFConfig wasn't involved-- and it seems it wasn't
So you'd need to get an Adobe person to look into it, I think
Is there a bug ticket logged in their tracker with reproducible steps?

thanks @bdw429s (brad)...thought i'd check here with the community before dealing with a ticket...

@Mark Takata (Adobe) Did you see this posting we posted? This is an EC2 CF 2021 issue we ran into...Can you read this in the thread and let me know if you have anyone this can get to for an answer???? thanks
m
Daniel, did you email cfsup@adobe.com with this issue yet? Priyank is on sabbatical so there's not really any support folks actively here (unless @sandip_halder is around right now). My suggestion is to always email support, cc me if you'd like (takata@adobe.com) and they should be able to try and point you. Its the same folks that are here plus many, many more.
f
perfect, this is exactly what we needed....you rock 🙂

Sure thing sir. I need to be more vocal about where to get to for support. I just assume folks know lol.
f
it has been a while since I have had to connect support...and Brad stating just put in a bug ticket, I was not sure if that was the best way to do it or just hit support...so thought it would be best to ask you first...

@fmdano Daniel, please send us an email. Let us check the issue. If needed I will log a bug for the same. Please mail us at cf.install@adobe.com
