$99 for the summit & $109/night for the room is a pretty good deal!

Yes, and Vegas is absolutely STUPID expensive right now otherwise. $400/night rooms on weekend days. So get'em while they're hot! 🙂

@Mark Takata (Adobe) is there an online option?

Daniel, we were unable to procure an online option. Long story short, the city of Las Vegas has a set of rules in place that essentially would more than double our costs if we offered an online-streaming option. These rules are fairly new and seem to have been put in place in response to the mass adoption of streaming/hybrid conferences post COVID. The choice was either 100% on-site, 100% remote or nothing. Our (admittedly not awesome) solution: Dev Week is 100% virtual, CF Summit is 100% on-site. And right now I'm actually not sure if they will even allow us to film sessions for later display on VoD. It is frustrating beyond belief, and to be honest it is making me consider other venues for events in the future, because I could do a Sacramento event for 1/2 the price including streaming (but... yeah, it ain't Vegas lol).

Sacramento has some great local craft beers! And I could drive to it easily 🙂

We do indeed! I could offer an entire tour of some of our breweries, I'm friends with a lot of their brewers lol. For now though, things are what they are, and we'll just have to see how it all falls together. My advice right now though is that if anyone is thinking of going, get your flights & hotels asap. It is a madhouse out there and stuff is selling out.

Change the venue. Vegas is overrated.

Well, that won't happen for this year. Maybe we'll reconsider the venue next year. But if we move, it will probably be somewhere less exciting like San Jose or SF.

SF is plenty exciting 🙂 SJ not so much.
