Trying to remove commandbox bullet train from commandbox. I did artifacts remove and restarted. Still there. I did artifacts clean and restarted and the colorful prompt is still there. Any other ideas I can try? Thanks
d
woah - you don't want it anymore? you have to
uninstall commandbox-bullet-train
b
May need the
--system
flag on that command above
@risto Is there a problem with the module that's making you want to get rid of it
All system modules are handled with the
Copy code
package list
install
uninstall
commands, you just add
--system
to the command so, instead of looking at the current directory, it looks at the system directory inside CommandBox

@Daniel Mejia I love it! Unfortunately had eye surgery and waiting to get new glasses. I can see white on black and white on blue but that's it. Even though you have 8 colors to customize with apparently I still can't see the character that well:)
@bdw429s @Daniel Mejia Thanks I got it uninstalled. Hopefully in two weeks with new glasses I'll reinstall it.
b
@risto bullet train allows you full customization of the colors!
Type
Copy code
config set modules.commandbox-bullet-train.
and hit tab and you'll see dozens of settings you can configure
including the color of every single car and its text
You can just make them alternate black and white if you like

You can’t imagine someone can miss bullet train for two weeks? 🤣

@risto here is how

idk. maybe that blue isn't dark enough. if it isn't - you can use
darkblue
r
@bdw429s What? I was quickly reading the documentation but I apparently thought the section on the 8 ANSI colors were the only choices. That's great! It was so easy to change the colors but I thought I was limited to 8.
Thanks everyone bullet train back on!
d
Nice!

Phew, that was close🙂

b
@risto I wrote the docs on bullet train before I added 256 color support I think, but regardless, run the
Copy code
system-colors
command. ANY AND ALL of those colors are available for you to use.
Perhaps bullet train should have an easy preset setting for "high-contrast" for seeing impaired 🤔

@bdw429s I love bullet train one of the best modules for sure. Amazing customization.

Ok, I didn’t have this installed. 😬 I just installed it and the unicode characters are goofy. I followed the docs to install some powerline fonts. I’m just not sure how to get VS Code to use them in the terminal but not mess with my editor fonts. Anyone?
b
@danmurphy There's a setting in VSCode for the terminal font. It's a little wonky because you just have to type the name, but it can be made to work.

Ok, I was playing with that setting and able to change fonts, I just can’t figure out how to point to one of the Powerline fonts. I’ll try typing away…
Nice!
…for Powerline
was the key. Consider me another converted user!
