Is there anyway to have multiple versions of CommandBox installed and switch between them for troubleshooting purposes? The last stable version was 5.2.1.
r
Just an idea, but one of the first things that came to mind is using a git repo on the core directories and files located within the .Commandbox and the box executable (located wherever you install it with the option of including the java files if you downloaded them with the Commandbox executable. Essentially, each version is saved into a different git branch.

I was hoping for more of a slug type solution.
r
i know, but I'm not sure if there is one. It would be cool to know if one exists, though.
j
Yep. On another note, how's it going.
r
all is well, and you?
j
Starting up a new job. Going get in to commandbox, coldbox and taskrunner. 🙂
r
Awesome, congrats on thenew job, Jeff!
b
Sure. Put whatever
box.exe
files you want in separate folders and put a different
commandbox.propertie
file in each folder that overrides the
commandbox_home
folder to be different for each version.
Now you can fire up both versions of box at the same time and they will have different home directories
