I am trying to convert my app from ACF - 2018 to Lucee 5.3.8, but I can't see to get onSessionStart to trigger. Any suggestions?

Have you put logging in and tested with a new a session (clearing cookies, or a fresh incogniti browser)

Yes, even restarted the instance so it would force a new session.
