This bug ticket reported for CF2021 for weird spread operator results (https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/CF-4219724) is marked as fixed in CF2023, but it definitely is not. Testing in CF2025, everything works as expected, but why note CF2023 if it wasn't included. Always great to see things get fixed, but we're not on CF2025.

04/14/2025, 4:27 PMI'll also point out that the bug is referenced in the CF2025 release notes, so this does suggest it was a CF2025 fix. It would be nice if it was fixed in CF2023 though 😬

04/14/2025, 6:00 PMIt sure is, unfortunately I have not seen a great track record of them fixing non-security items in the oldest support version. I've always been told I need to upgrade. And that's a whole other can of worms.

04/14/2025, 6:29 PMJim that's a great question, and we're still working on getting the messaging right for that. It is a bit of a weird thing. Technically, you can keep subscribing and not do full-point updates... for a while. At some point though, if you want the latest and greatest features, they'll likely require you to do the full-tilt-boogey upgrade (for example, if we add certain language features in a feature update, they may require the latest Tomcat/JDK, which likely we would do updates in for only full point stuff (as it may introduce breaking changes to older code). So, the scenario I am thinking of, someone who keeps subscribing but doesn't update... ever? Possible. But also it feels edge case. You have access to the latest stuff. It behooves you to keep things fresh and shiny. Eventually, the whole 2021/2023/2025 naming will likely go away and it will just be... ColdFusion. But we're getting the language approved to detail all this out in a way that makes sense (and keeps the lawyer overlords happy lol).
Were there particular issues you were curious about Jim?
