so has anyone tried out the 5.3.10.79-RC yet? no news is good news?
s
Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned / documented somewhere else. Can I drop in 5.3.10.79-RC on a 5.3.9.141 server ?
z
sure can, lucee is designed for in place upgrades. the only time you need t update the loader ( the lucee.jar in the lib folder), is when we update something which adds support for a new platform in the the core libraries, like the Mac M1/M2 support, but that's likely a new install anyway
and we'd mention that in the release notes

Thanks @zackster, a follow up, are their 2 tracks before the switch to Lucee 6? Or will 5.3.10.x be the one to use until 6?
z
yep 5.3 is still our stable branch for a while, the 6 beta

I haven't had cycles to test the RC. I have to schedule those cycles, so depending on where in the current Sprint I'm at it could be several weeks before I can test something like this.
s
we might do this next week

I am currently using it on my "dev" box. So far, its stable.

I am willing to try it out on Raspberry Pi 64 bit ARM distribution. Where can I pick up an instance of the image and the docs on running that?
