@Jim Frankowski @larryclyons it seemed to be something borked in hibernate as this project is using ORM and I didn’t find anything I could read related to it as I don’t speak Java fluently so I’m glad turn it off and on again worked once again

the only posts I could find on the net were full of the hibernate xml you used to need for coldfusion and still need if you’re implementing it in java
