Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with Docker not working with ColdFusion 2023 anymore? It was working yesterday but then last night my company auto-updated me to Docker Desktop 4.38.0 and macOS Sequoia 15.3 and today it just sits forever with the dreaded "[] Checking server startup status..." message. i'm on an M3 Pro chip. no idea if it was one of those two upgrades that broke it or just a coincidence. i was running the previous versions of Docker and macOS so this shouldn't have been a major upgrade.

I've not heard of any issues. Do you know when 4.38.0 came out? If it is recent, it is possible it hasn't proliferated enough for folks to run into issues yet. @priyank_adobe have you had any noise on the support channels regarding this?

I'm fairly sure it came out yesterday, or at least that's when it got pushed out to all our development machines.

Hmm, ok, lemme do some local testing and see if it is a general issue with the update or something M3 Pro related.

not sure - maybe this is definitive proof that Macs have left Windows machines in the dust? 😉

OK it is acting super weird. There IS a 4.38.0 but it downloads the earlier one and the internal update isn't working. Blech. And now it is crashing my WSL. Friday fun? 😄

well - that gives me hope... maybe 4.38.0 is a problem child and they'll revert back to the version that was working. 🙂

OK can confirm, latest Docker Desktop fails with CF23. I am getting the exact same error as you Steve.

Steve I think the team is looking into it, but it looks like it was a change in something that Docker is doing, as everything seemed to be working fine before that build. Is it possible to revert back to the older Docker Desktop for the moment until its figured out?

i tried to downgrade to 4.37 but it still doesn't work. i'll try going further back. (but it's also possible that it's updating things outside of the Applications folder, so i'm not fully downgrading...)

Ah. Bummer. Doh, that means I might be stuck on this machine also.

ok - downgraded to 4.36.1 and am still getting the same thing - it acts like it started but then never confirms it. in another window i try to stop it and it says it's not even running. 🤷‍♂️

OK - once i got smart and followed the full uninstall directions, it appears to have worked. it's downloading packages... and actually installing them. that step didn't work before.

fyi - i have updated to Docker Desktop 4.39.0 and this problem has been resolved. i can now start up my ColdFusion Docker images just like i could with 4.37.x.
