G'day... I've got a situation where some PDF files are rendered unreadable when converted to TIFF format using PDFbox and Apache JAI. This applies to Lucee v5.4, v6.1 and v6.2 with Java 11 and 21. I found an alternative commercial product (PDFNet) that coverts the same files perfectly and we are likely to go with that in the short term at least so we can complete the project. My question is - what do I do with this in terms of Lucee? Raise a ticket? I'm figuring that the problem is buried somewhere in PDFBox or possibly more likely in Apache JAI so will the Lucee team be interested? They certainly don't have the time for such an obscure problem that only affects about 1% of the (many) files we are having to convert.

You could submit the bug to Lucee, or you could just fork the project, update the PDFbox jars and muck around with Maven to get it to recompile. PDFBOX in lucee is at 3.01RC if you are using the latest version, whereas PDFBOX is at 3.03
