Super curious to know what companies you all are working for (i.e. - who's using CF) and where your company is located. I'm currently working on my own projects (Kitsap Running/Bremerton Marathon) using CF in Bremerton, WA (outside of Seattle).

My day job is at a major R1 University in the midwest of the USA. We have a few dozen applications we support within our networking and infrastructure teams. For my consulting gig, I have about 20 or so active clients where I maintain various sites for them. Most I don't do day-to-day stuff, but a few Masa sites, some running Masa + slatwall, a few are custom apps for contact centers and a few are automation tools I have my hands in. I still have some of my older apps that live on at previous jobs including Intel and Lucent/Avaya.

I brought CF into the University of Washington for the last two decades (a few others have used it at UW as well). Boeing used to have CF from the late 90s until recently, I suspect new development is not using it tho), I also brought it into a couple of other small dot com comapanies here in the Northwest.

I work at Creation Next Inc., an Adobe ColdFusion Development Partner based in New Jersey.
b
We use it at Penn State, central PA/US in multiple departments. There is currently an IT centralization process underway, so who knows what impact that will have down the road.
c
Hi, I work for Broadridge. ColdFusion is used in a few of our applications but most are built in Java, Python and NodJS now days. My role is in the site reliability engineering space and I use ColdFusion to support our infrastructure and services. Filling in gaps with tools like Datadog, Splunk and other services that need to augment data or automation between alerting, ticketing and self healing. My primary focus this last year has been in Datadog, ensuring we have visavility across all applications and infrastructure.

@Casey Dougall before my current position, I worked for Broadridge, too! I was in Edge 2. My team did the 401(k) booklet.
I work for CF Webtools. We are an Adobe Development Partner. The office is located in Omaha, Nebraska. My position is 100% remote so I am not in Nebraska.
c
Nice. yeah a lot of my coworkers are in the east coast offices. I was in Boston until around 4 years ago, now in Colorado Springs and 100% remote.

To be clear I was kidding lol. (The drones were already there, no "sending" needed) 😉

Now we finally have an explanation to all the drone sightings! I will get a screenshot of Mark's comment and send it over to CIA/FBI. 🙂

"Don't worry folks, they're just here to sell us some software!"
m
Funny that Mark actually did a presentation on CF Evangelism at the Summit...the drones are just a new tactic...
m
Monte, where do you think we GOT the drones sir? lol
Funny thing is, every drone I've ever used or played with have been just... the worst 😛 The first one flew once and then bricked itself. The second one was just really tough to use.
d
Right? makes you wonder! Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if it actually is aliens selling us an intergalactic long-distance plan
m
Oh I have some AMAZING accounts in the Rigel system. You all should see what they're doing. Amazing code. :D
