I haven't bothered looking yet, but what JS library is ColdFusion next using for its new charting ? I would have thought most of us would have switched to something client side already? Wouldn't building some kind of client side package management with SSR have been a better use of time?

Some folks have moved. And there's no reason why you cannot continue to use whatever charting JS you might prefer. A lot of our customers prefer us to have the charting built in. They're the ones requesting the update. Other folks use things like chart.js, or build their own viz using D3. CF is flexible like that. 🙂

From what I remember, Adobe CF used a licensed version of Zing Charts. (https://www.zingchart.com/). It’s a pretty powerful graphing package.

Yes. Behind the scenes the library uses the latest Zing Charts engine. Obviously integrated with a whole raft of custom Java...
