We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to design, build and maintain a brand new application to streamline and analyze our production chain. This role will report directly to the business owners and will be onsite based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in building new applications from the ground up while being able to identify solutions to suite business needs. Job Responsibilities: • Administer production and development of ColdFusion/Lucee application server. Including upgrading, setting up data sources, applying updates and managing applications and request settings. • Design and development of a full-stack application from start to finish and beyond. • Consistently delivering to challenging business objectives. • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. • Maintain site updates, fixing and troubleshooting bugs, and improving performance. • Install and Maintain back-end SQL server installations, including design and development of SQL database structure and code. • Participate in external code reviews • Maintain back-up solutions for software servers and databases Requirements: • 5 years ColdFusion/CFML web application development, support & design in a database-centric environment • 4 years SQL development and server maintenance. • Experience in using source control such as Git/Mercurial • Experience in maintaining server infrastructure • Experience in developing and implementing backup solutions $125000 - $155000 p/a based on experience Remote work is unavailable for this position.
