What version of Hibernate is coming in Lucee 6?

Lucee loads Hibernate as an extension so AFAIK they're independent of each other, unless they are for some reason removing backwards compatibility with v3. I haven't heard that they're aligning bringing the 5 out of beta to time a release with anything, but then I don't think there is an exact release window for Lucee 6 anyway

I was watching the CFCasts CB-ORM presentation Luis did in 2020 where he was complaining that v3 was in Lucee and needed an update.

yeah, Ortus has been pushing for action on Hibernate in Lucee for a long time. We were too back when we still were actively developing in. There was some action in the Spring, the latest v5 Beta is from then, so it's farther along but we haven't tested it

I believe the plan was for Lucee 6 to include the newer hibernate extension by default

6.0 has 5.4
