Applications Development Analyst (Advanced) - Job #1250
(1) Assisting with cloud migration of existing code;
(2) Providing design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy; (
3) Developing enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features;
(4) Using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers;
(5) Providing expertise regarding the integration of applications across Commerce;
(6) Determining specifications, then plans, designs, and develop the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes— either individually or in concert with a project team;
(7) Assisting in the most difficult support problems;
(8) Developing programming and development standards and procedures as well as programming architectures for code reuse;
(9) Having in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing, and debugging programs;
(10) Understanding and consistently applying the attributes and processes of current application development methodologies; (
11) Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to Commerce;
(12) Conducting code reviews as requested;
(13) Viewing both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines; and
(14) Acting as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent.
2.0 Staff Qualifications and Performance Criteria Contractor shall possess the professional and technical staff necessary to perform the IT Staff Augmentation Services required by this Contract, and the staff shall have sufficient skill and experience to perform the services assigned to them. A. Applications Development Analyst (Advanced) - Job #1250 Contractor and/or Contractor’s Staff assigned to this Contract shall have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: (1) Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other related field/equivalent work experience; (2) A minimum of five (5) years of design and/or development experience with ColdFusion; (3) Experience with JavaScript Oracle, and Structured Query Language (SQL) Server in an N-tier architecture; (4) Experience with Solaris, Bash Shell scripting; (5) A minimum of three (3) years of cloud development experience; (6) Demonstrated experience in object-oriented development techniques; (7) Database design and development (Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server); (8) SQL tuning; (9) Experience as a project leader on multiple IT projects; (10) Experience as an expert/lead technical role. Experience working various projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments; (11) Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies; (12) Support production deployments; assist with troubleshooting deployment issues; and (13) Experience in Incident Full Kit (IFK) meetings to create user stories, complete Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for incidents and refinements of product backlog; and (14) Experience with Azure DevOps.
