Someone posted about the hotel situation in the CF Programmer group on Facebook. I did a search on Expedia.com and found a list of hotels in Vegas with availability checking in on 9/29 and checking out on 10/2. The prices go from $20 per night up to $300 per night. Perhaps you can check any of those hotel/travel sites and see if you can find any hotels with room available.
