In Application.cfc I have
this.name = "myApplication"
How do I access this? I thought it was:
application.name
: the key in the application scope is the same as the property in the pseudo-constructor of Application.cfc. And dumping
getApplicationSettings()
: seemingly agrees with me. (see screenshot) But when I dump the application scope there is NOT a "name" key. If I try to output
application.name
I get an exception that the key NAME does not exist. Dumping the application scope shows that the value I set in Application.cfc as
this.name
is available to me in the
applicationname
key, instead. Has it always been
application.applicationName
? Thanks!

It should be in the application scope. Try dump(application)
applicationname
No sure it has always been that way. I just tested using 6.3

@gavinbaumanis i didn't know the answer either but I found some thing I found interesting This adobe page specifically states the application name is stored in
application.applicationName
There is also a function called
getApplicationMetadata()
which can be used to retrieve all the settings specified in application.cfc
