For the CFHTTP timeout, the docs mention a server value that can be set, but it doesn't specify which one. https://docs.lucee.org/reference/tags/http.html Is it just the main request timeout value that everything uses?
b
If it helps, Lucee looks at three timeouts if they exist... A timeout set on the URL in the browser A timeout set in the Lucee Admin (request timeout) A timeout set with the timeout attribute of the CFHTTP statement If a URL timeout is set, that should override the Lucee Administrator request timeout. If both a URL timeout and an attribute timeout are set, Lucee takes the lower of the two.
b
Note there is a setting in Lucee Admin, Settings - Request (in v5,4.3.16 at least) that must be enabled for the URL timeout parameter to be obeyed.
g
if the CFHTTP timeout is the same as the regular request timeout, then that won't work for what are looking for. We can just add the timeout to the CFHTTP call
b
Yeah, makes sense.
