i am trying to cfsearch like this:

<cfif NOT DirectoryExists(ExpandPath("../karatenbsearch"))>
    <cfcollection action= "Create" collection="karatenbsearch" path= "#Request.ArchiveFileLocation#">
</cfif>
<cfindex collection="karatenbsearch" action="refresh" key="#Request.ArchiveFileLocation#" type="path" urlpath="#Request.ArchiveFileLocation#" extensions=".cfm,.html">

where the location is:

<cfset Request.ArchiveFileLocation = "C:\ColdFusion2023\cfusion\wwwroot\ting">

then i ran this and checked the administrator and the location it is doing iss:

karatenbsearch4821244211-May-2024 11:37:17 PMC:\ColdFusion2023\cfusion\jetty\multicore\collections\karatenbsearch\data\index

first it is not specifying the location i wanted it to be 2. it throws me on the error on the first line, even if it exists but on a different patch, but i am getting error, how can i fix it, in these many years this is first time i am exploring cfsearch

Did you read the docs for

<collection>

? I suspect not. Or

<cfindex>

for that matter. Actually read the docs.

I made the search but there seems to be some missing documentation or something else it never creates the collection under the path specified It always goes with solr server path and creates a collection there @Adam Cameron

It is clear from your code you have not read the documentation. Go and read it. I did not suggest you read it for no reason. The documentation is not missing.
