I dont think I've had a Lucee version ever clean up the cf_client_data table in SQL Server automatically. We are on 5.3.8+201 now and the table still just grows and grows until it has enough records to clog up the pipe and bring the app down. We've resorted to SQL Agent Jobs in the past but I was hoping to avoid the extra jobs if possible. We were on 5.2.8 and I found a post about an issue with purging getting fixed in 5.2.9 but that version doesnt purge for me either. Is everyone (who is unlucky enough to have client vars) just setting up SQL Agent jobs still or what? I've never seen any autopurge settings in Lucee like CF had so I've just assumed it is supposed to be automatic.

Seemingly you have found your answer. It does not look like there is any specific code to clean up that table.

Has to be there somewhere. I dont see code to create the table either but that happens.

cf_client_data as a string doesn't really exist anywhere - because it is dynamically built.
I dont see those files
ah.. they're gone in 6.1. I see them on 5.4.4

Even with the files, I have no idea if they're doing what you're expecting or not - Just pointing them out if you wanted to do more digging.
b
of course. thank you for finding them

You can always log a ticket and the Devs will triage / respond. (I know it (the issue tracker) says to write a forum post - first...)
