Hmm: https://dev.lucee.org/t/what-is-new-in-lucee-6-part-2/13248#image-extension-30 > Broader Format Compatibility: The Image extension now supports additional formats such as WEBP, HEIC, HEIF, PSD, and more. This expansion allows for more flexibility in handling various image types within your applications. Got excited, thinking I'd be able to support HEIC/HEIF/PSD uploads and conversions into other file formats but it appears the commercial JDeli integration is required for that.
For example:
Copy code
<cfscript>
	img = imageRead('<https://filesamples.com/samples/image/heif/sample1.heif>')
	writeDump(img);
</cfscript>
https://docs.lucee.org/reference/functions/imageread.html Can also test that example here, using Lucee 6.
Hmmm, does this require the JDeli integration?
Yeah, that must be it! Answered my question.
For those curious, if you already use ImageMagick, I got heic support to work with ImageMagick7-heif on a CentOS 8 install. That doesn't cost $1600/year on the low end like JDeli licensing does.
