Hi Cage, just curious. Will this be new software, or are you maintaining a legacy application? In my understanding, an HL7 SIU message is simply part of a healthcare protocol to exchange data... basically a text string that gets parsed. I guess it's a matter of what the application does with that data. Maybe give us more detail on what you might need?

We have existing software dealing with daily staff management and will be installing at a new client/hospital. Their interface from Epic is via HL7 SIU. Need to write our end of interface to parse and process the messages into our app/database. Some healthcare knowledge would be helpful in getting up to speed quickly.
