Hello. Are there any instructions available to upgrade from v7.2.7 to the latest version? Can we jump from 7.2 to 7.4.4 directly and are there any db updates involved?

Instructions to update to v7.2.7 are to do it manually. This means that you copy the Masa CMS copy over you’re existing code. An upgrade to 7.4.5 should not be an issue, and database changes will be executed for you.

&applydbupdates

in the query param. Is it needed here too?

that option exists in Masa as well, and with a bigger upgrade, it’s always save to include it. But if everything goes well, it should do it automatically.
