Well that code you cited isn't in the CFC. It's in

formpersonaldashbaordcontrol.cfm

getFieldSelector is being called by the form page, which generates html and uses the helper function GETARRAYINDEXBYVALUE which lives just above the getFieldSelector function inside the same search.cfc

it's not the code in the CFC that is erroring.

Ah, i removed the function from that page and i didnt disable the rest of the code using it.

Always look at the error message. it's displayed for a reason and always explains the problem
