@priyank_adobe @Mark Takata (Adobe) Is there any progress on the issue where CF2021 Update 12 causes all MSSQL queries to fail for some customers? Queries say they timed out, but that happens immediately not after a timeout, and logs show a low level java error. I did a long remote session with several developers before the holidays, sent them a bunch of logs we recorded, but haven't heard anything since then. We're not the only ones experiencing this or something similar. @Sid Wing has it too I believe, or did, and in his case, the workaround that worked for me, reverting to the 05 version of the MSSQL package, didn't work for him. That makes me not confident of applying U12 in production, so this issue is really holding up the works here. It's super frustrating to have communication go dark about this. I know you've been out Mark, me too, but to come back and find nothing further isn't great. Please Adobe, let us know what's happening!

Have it considered trying Microsoft's MSSQL JDBC drivers directly? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/jdbc/download-microsoft-jdbc-driver-for-sql-server?view=sql-server-ver16 We've been using the "other" connection method since CF9 as it allowed us to take advantage of newer MSSQL database features whereas CF didn't even support the SQL server we were connecting to at the time. In our past tests, we did determine that it was faster, but haven't bothered testing in the more recent CF versions.

Adopting the MS driver would be a tough call for us. We have two really big apps, built over many years by many people, with nothing like a comprehensive test suite. It'd be really hard to know that "everything" worked, and we'd have to ride herd on that forever, as CF, Java, SQL Server, and that driver morph over time. This issue isn't really about problems with the Adobe driver per se, it's about getting the right version of the driver and an Adobe common driver loaded. I think.
