I have a "hopefully" easy question that someone can answer but I have been banging my head for hours as most google example show java apps using embedded resource files, not external files. Anyway, I'm migrating some code from log4j1.x to log4j2.x. I have the following 1.x code but I cannot figure out the recipe to convert to 2.x:

12/23/2023, 11:29 PMorg.apache.log4j.PropertyConfigurator does not appear to exist in log4j2 and I can't find an equivalent. I don't really need the watch layer,; I would be perfectly happy with the read properties from file layer only.

12/24/2023, 1:42 AMI did not think of using ChatGPT but that does detail all the results I am finding. My problem is, with CF the class path is not as easily accessible as a specified file and I'm afraid of configuration collisions if I'm on a shared server.
