Got an odd one, I have a dev site running in dev mode (meaning no caching), yet I am getting caching, I make a new entry in the admin I wrote, got to the front end page that should display the change and it is not there, hard refresh and it will show up...Ubuntu / Lucee 5.2.9.31 / Apache 2 / Tomcat 8.0.35

You mean.. your dev site is running in your own programmed dev-mode. Lucee doesn't have such a thing called dev mode. As default, Lucee doesn't cache anything. You probably might need to debug your code.

What I mean is I have Inspect Templates set to Always, so I wouldn't expect to have deal with caching of any sort....however, I am and I am not sure why....

A little more detail, if I change a value in the DB, have a query running that has no caching setup, I would expect the new value, not the old to be returned

As I said, Lucee as a default doesn't cache. The issues you are having are coming from somewhere. I supposed you have already tried to restart Lucee. Have you looked bypassing the webserver by accessing the URL through port 8888 locally?

hmm, if I run it through 8888 I am not experiencing the cache....

so I found a config entry in apache2.conf ExpireActive On, I have turned it Off and seem to have eliminated the problem, thank you for the help @Andreas
