Thanks @gavinbaumanis So is that the best way to do it with CommandBox? Specify the cfengine I'm targeting and restart the service?
CommandBox> server set app.cfengine=lucee@5.4.4+38
In the meantime, on my dev machine, I ran the update from within the Lucee Admin. Everything seems to work but the admin summary shows 5.4.4.38 as the version (correct) but the configuration file is still in 5.4.3.2. Pic attached.
I subsequently added the engine to my server.json and restarted the service (via task manager). Lucee admin says it's running 5.4.4.38 but CommandBox seems to think it's 5.4.3.2
OK, belay that. It seems I was confused about exactly which server.json file was being used. Weird that
CommandBox>server show
popped up the one with the change but it was using a different one. I'll have to dig around to try and figure that one out but all numbers are adding up now. Thanks so much for the assistance. 👍

Remember also : that command box's knowledge of the servers you run and the actual configuration of the server is NOT the same thing. That is to say - that you can "forget" the servers that commandbox knows about, then restart your server(s) via commandbox and that will ensure that coimmandbox's data and the server's actual details are in-sync. its not "normally" required - but there are times they can get a little screwy and "server forget" is the "approved" manner to get things back to the way they were. And while it goes without saying... Make a copy of your *.JSON files, first.
